Pricing

Wisethorough Solutions provides DOCX validation and XML JATS generation services for SciELO and similar publishing workflows.

• 1 XML Credit — €10
• 5 XML Credits — €40
• 10 XML Credits — €70

One XML credit corresponds to the generation of one XML file. The first XML generation may be offered free of charge for onboarding and testing after registration and email confirmation.

Institutional agreements, volume discounts, and customized pricing may be available for journals, publishers, universities, research units, editorial offices, conference proceedings, and multi-journal platforms.

Terms of Service

By using this service, the user agrees to these Terms of Service. Wisethorough Solutions provides automated and semi-automated editorial support for DOCX validation, structural analysis, XML JATS generation, and SciELO Publishing Schema preparation.

The service does not guarantee acceptance by journals or indexers, automatic compliance with all external requirements, or absence of editorial or technical corrections. The user remains responsible for the submitted content, copyright permissions, scientific integrity, final editorial review, and verification of generated XML files.

The platform is provided on a best-effort basis. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or external provider failures.

Users retain ownership of the submitted content. Wisethorough Solutions only receives the temporary technical right to process uploaded files for validation and XML generation.

Privacy Policy

Wisethorough Solutions is committed to protecting user privacy and minimizing stored data.

The platform may process account information, email address, uploaded DOCX files, generated XML files, validation reports, and technical logs necessary for operation and security.

Uploaded files, generated XML files, and related temporary processing files are automatically deleted after approximately 24 hours. Wisethorough Solutions does not permanently archive submitted manuscripts or generated XML files unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

The platform may use third-party services including Paddle for payments, Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection, SMTP/email delivery providers, and hosting infrastructure providers.

Users may contact Wisethorough Solutions regarding access, correction, deletion, or questions about personal data processing at solutions@wisethorough.com.

Refund Policy

Due to the digital and immediately consumable nature of the service, purchases are generally non-refundable once XML credits have been delivered or used.

Refund requests may exceptionally be considered in cases of duplicate payments, technical billing errors, or verified platform malfunction preventing service delivery.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights applicable under Portuguese or European Union law.
